Be The Hero
Who are the people that made a difference in your life? What did they do to make you look up to them?
This week I will be talking about building family relationships and why it’s important to do so.
As a child you looked up to the adults in your life. They taught you to walk, to talk, and how to navigate through life. Some of them told you it’s okay to make mistakes while others may have shamed you for doing so. Some of these people have become so important in your life that you consider them your heroes.
Think back to when you were a teenager. You were influenced by so many different people at that time. Who was the one person you can think of that really made a difference?
As an adult in your family, it is now your turn to make those family relationships work. Building your family relationships means that you find a way to make them stronger. To do that, you need to make a conscious effort to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Name something you can do right now to make a difference in someone’s life and help to build your family relationships. Now go and be the hero is someone else’s memories!
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
